Two injured in separate assaults just hours apart in Kilkenny

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after two people were injured in separate incidents in Kilkenny over the weekend.

The first incident occurred at approximately 11pm on Saturday night in the Logan Street area of Thomastown. It is understood the victim was struck by an unknown male.

In the second incident, which happened just hours later, a person was injured following an assault on John Street in Kilkenny City at around 2.20am on Sunday morning.

They were taken to hospital as a precaution.

Anyone who may have witnessed either incident is asked to contact local gardaí.
