Spate of recent criminal activity in Kilkenny prompts garda warning

Gardaí in Kilkenny have issued a warning to the public after a series of incidents involving opportunistic thieves targeting vehicles overnight.

Several cars that were left unlocked were broken into, while locked vehicles with no valuables visible were ignored by the criminals.

Gardaí are urging motorists to ensure their cars are secured at all times and to avoid leaving any items on display.

The warning was shared under the message “Lock it or lose it”, highlighting the importance of vigilance to deter theft.
