Three people have appeared in court following a physical altercation in Kilkenny city.
Grace Flynn (36) of Páirc Nua, Castecomer Road, Daniel Lennon (37) of Bishop Birch Place, and Hazel O’Mara (35), also of Bishop Birch Place, appeared before Kilkenny District Court.
They are all charged with using violence towards each other under Section 16 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act, 1994.
They are also charged with assault under Section 2 of the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.
Sergeant Morgan O’Connor told the court that the incident in question took place at Bishop Birch Place on April 27, 2025.

It is alleged that at approximately 3:30am, Mr Lennon and Ms O’Mara had a physical altercation with Ms Flynn.
Sergeant O’Connor said it will be alleged that Mr Lennon held Ms Flynn by the wrists while she received two punches to the body from Ms O’Mara.
CCTV footage obtained by gardaí confirmed the identity of the three individuals involved.
Solicitor Chris Hogan, representing Ms Flynn, made an application for disclosure. A similar application was made by Ed Hughes, who was representing Mr Lennon and Ms O’Mara.
Judge Geraldine Carthy adjourned the case of all three individuals, who will appear again before Kilkenny District Court on February 23, 2026.
