Two men have been arrested following a significant drugs seizure on the outskirts of Kilkenny yesterday (Monday).
Up to twenty gardaí, along with Kilkenny County Council and the animal welfare charity, My Lovely Horse were involved in the operation.
Four properties were searched under warrant in a residential area of the Hebron area of Kilkenny City.
Approximately €10,000 worth of drugs, €7,000 of suspected heroin and a further €3,000 of suspected cocaine were seized from one property.
Two men were arrested during the operation and were brought to Kilkenny Garda Station.

One male was charged in relation to the incident and is due to appear in court.
The second male was released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
Ten dogs were also seized during the multi-agency operation due to serious animal welfare concerns.
Meanwhile gardaí have also confirmed that they have received numerous reports of anti-social behaviour in the vicinity of St Kieran's Cemetery on the Hebron Road.
Gardaí have increased their patrols in the area in response to complaints from members of the public.
