Well known and popular Kilkenny businessman passes away

KILKENNY

The late John Ryan

A prominent member of the Kilkenny business community and popular family man, John Ryan, has died.

Mr Ryan, of Ashleigh Court, College Road, Kilkenny and formerly of GL Ryan's Jewellers, 71 High Street, Kilkenny, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 8 at Castlecomer District Hospital.

President of Kilkenny Chamber Brian Keyes has paid tribute to him for his work as a businessman and supporter of High Street and Kilkenny City over many years.

Mr Ryan, predeceased by his brothers Fr Philip and Patrick and his sister Angela, dearly loved husband of Eileen and beloved father of Philip,Thomas, John and Dermot. He will be greatly missed by his wife, sons, grandchildren (Ella, Isaac, Martha, Ethan, Eoin, Senan, Ian, Emmet, Donnacha, Diarmuid, Blathnaid and Cormac), daughters-in-law (Bahia, Barbara, Pamela and Sue), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, aunt-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home on Friday from 4pm pausing for Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday morning at 11am in St Patrick's Church.

Funeral afterwards to St Kieran's Cemetery. House private please on Saturday morning. Family flowers only.
