The death has occurred of James (Jimmy) Bird, Coill Dubh, Naas, Co Kildare, formerly Hoodsgrove, Rosbercon, Co Kilkenny. James (Jimmy), predeceased by his parents Tom and Mary. Deeply regretted by his loving family, sisters Christine, Breda, Mary, and Lucianne, brothers Paddy, Luke and Pat Coady, brothers-in-law Spiro, Pat, Eamon and John, sisters-in-law Mary, Noreen and Bríd, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, extended family, work colleagues in Lynch's Centra Lucan, Co. Dublin, neighbours, and many friends.
Reposing in Oliver Reilly's Funeral Home, Prosperous, Co Kildare (W91T62P) from 4pm on Tuesday 23rd May concluding at 8pm. Also reposing on Wednesday 24th May in Doyle's Funeral Home The Old Rectory, Rosbercon, New Ross from 9.30am with removal at 11.40am to The Church of The Assumption Rosbercon arriving for 12 noon Requiem Mass followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Sr. Bridget (Bridie) Bolger
The death has occurred of Sr. Bridget (Bridie) Bolger, Loreto Convent, Kilkenny and late of Cullohill, Co. Laois, on May 20th 2023 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at Brookhaven Nursing Home. Predeceased by her parents Michael John and Kathleen, brother Eddie. Deeply regretted by her Loreto Community, brothers and sisters Sheila, Kieran, Mary, Kathleen, Michael, Geraldine and Pat, aunt Maureen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family and friends.
Reposing at St. Canice's Church from 6p.m. on Monday concluding with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7.30p.m. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 12 noon followed by interment in the Convent Cemetery. Sr. Bridie's Requiem Mass will be live streamed on www.stcanicesparish.ie
Lizzy (Elizabeth) Fogarty
The death has occurred of Lizzy (Elizabeth) Fogarty, Bodalmore, Waterford Road, Kilkenny City, aged 49. Lizzy passed away peacefully on Saturday, 20th May, in the care of the staff at University Hospital Waterford, surrounded by her loving family. She will be forever missed by her devoted father Jim, mother Mary, sisters Margaret (Kelly), Marie (Power), Joan (Dinan), Agie (McAteer) and Bernie (Power), brothers Tommy, Seamus and Michael, her brothers in law Seamus, Joe, Donal, Conor and Alan and sisters in law Caroline, Ber and Noreen, her adored 22 nieces, nephews and her relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her home on Monday, 22nd May, from 2pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal from her home on Tuesday (house private, please) for requiem Mass at St Joseph's Church, Foulkstown, at 12 noon with burial in the adjoining cemetery. No flowers please, donations, if desired, to the Dialysis Unit Waterford and Irish Kidney Association.

The death has occurred of Benjamin (Bill) Hannon, Skeard, Kilmacow, Kilkenny. Bill passed away suddenly. Husband of the late Catherine. Sadly missed by his relatives, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Douglas (Doug) Hobson, Fairview, Graiguenamanagh, Kilkenny, on 21st May, 2023. Peacefully, surrounded by his family in the compassionate care of the doctors, nurses and staff on The Barrow Ward, St. Luke's Hospital, Kilkenny. Doug will be sadly missed by his loving partner Joan and her family, Patricia, Lena, Marie, Bridget, Catherine, Michael, Billy and Dan, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, sons-in-law, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday at 11a.m. in Duiske Abbey, Graiguenamanagh, followed by burial in Calvery Cemetery, Graiguenamanagh.
Sean Malone
The death has occurred of Sean Malone, Gaulsmills, Kilmacow, and late of Ballinalaw, Slieverue, Co. Kilkenny, who died on Sunday 21st May 2023, aged 81 years. Peacefully, in the care of The Oak Ward, University Hospital Waterford, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his parents James and Agnes, brother Frank. Sean will be sadly missed by his loving wife Bridget (Biddy née Walsh), daughters Deirdre, Patricia and Nuala, sons-in-law Paul and Tadgh, grandchildren Orla, Niamh, Eibhlin and Hugh, brothers James, Joe, Michael and Pat, sisters Mary and Claire, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Sean will be reposing in Power's Funeral Home, Ferrybank, on Monday, 22nd May, from 5pm until 7pm, Sean's removal will take place on Tuesday, 23rd May, to the Church of The Assumption, Slieverue, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12noon followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
