William (Willie) Byrne
The death has occurred of William (Willie) Byrne, Castlekelly, Gowran, Co. Kilkenny. July 23rd 2023. Peacefully in the loving care of the Staff at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home. Predeceased by his parents William and Elizabeth Byrne. Sadly missed by his sisters Marion, Josie, Ger, Peg and Kathleen, brother John, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and extended family, friends and neighbours.
Reposing in Somers Funeral Home Bagenalstown on Tuesday afternoon from 4pm, Concluding with Funeral Prayers at 7.pm. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning in the Holy Trinity Church Goresbridge at 11am, followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Breda Robbins (née Ward)
The death has occurred of Breda Robbins (née Ward), Tinnypark Nursing Home Kilkenny and formerly of Pococke Valley, Johnswell Road. Breda died peacefully on (23rd July) in the loving care of the staff at Tinnypark Nursing Home. Predeceased by her loving husband Jack, Breda is fondly remembered by her grand-nephew Paul (Kavanagh), his wife Órla and their children Kíla and Ciarán, her sister Kathleen (Slattery), her brothers Tommy and Pat, sisters-in-law Cait and Joan, her niece Fiona (Kavanagh) and her husband Milo, nephews, nieces and extended family and friends.
Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny on Tuesday (25th July) from 9:15am, with Funeral Prayers at 9:45am followed by removal to St. John's Church for Requiem Mass at 10:30am. Elizabeth (Betty) Ryan (née Dooley)
The death has occurred of Elizabeth (Betty) Ryan (née Dooley), of Ballyguile Beg, Wicklow Town and formerly of Ballymartin, Ballyouskill, Co Kilkenny, who passed away peacefully at the Blainroe Lodge Nursing Home in her 87th year on Saturday 22nd July 2023. Beloved wife of the late Patrick (Paddy) and much loved mother of Seamus, Katherine and Mairead. Sadly missed by her family, grandchildren Mark, Neil, Niamh, Ciara, Muireann, Rian and Meibh, son in law Michael, extended family and friends.
Betty will repose at Flannery’s Funeral Home, Bachelors Walk, in Wicklow Town, from 6pm until 7pm on Wednesday. Funeral arriving to St Patrick’s Church, Wicklow Town, on Thursday for 10am funeral Mass followed by interment in Rathnew Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Tim Roche, Curragh Lane, Tullogher, Kilkenny, on 21st July 2023. Tim, in his 90th year beloved husband of the late Joan (nee O'Neill). Deeply regretted by his loving daughters Bridget (Brennan) and Ann (Drennan) sons Tom, James, Timothy and Raymond, especially treasured daughter-in law Catherine, adored grandchildren Timothy, Christina, Denis, Siobhan, Veronica, Eimear, Aoife, Eoin, Michael, Annmarie, Stacey, Brid, Ava, Isabelle, Finn and Alby, great-grandchildren Rosemaire, Naomi and Howl, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at his residence at 3pm Monday 24th July concluding with prayers at 8pm. Removal from his residence at 11.45 am on Tuesday 25th July to arrive at St. Aidan's Church Tullogher for 12 noon Requiem Mass followed by burial afterwards in Mullinarrigle Cemetery. Kathleen Ryan (née Comerford)
The death has occurred of Kathleen Ryan (née Comerford), Deerpark, Castlecomer, Kilkenny, on 22 July 2023. Peacefully, at St. Luke's Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Richard (Dickie), father Tom, mother Mary (Molly), baby Francis (first born), sisters Josephine and Eileen, brothers Sean, David and Bill. Sadly missed by her heartbroken daughter Jeanette, sister Maisie, brother Thomas, brother-in-law Jimmy, nieces and nephews, and all her relatives and friends.
Reposing at Coady's Funeral Home, Castlecomer on Monday (24th July) from 2 pm with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 8 pm. Removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Castlecomer, on Tuesday morning for Requiem Mass at 11 am followed by burial in the Crosshill Cemetery, Castlecomer. Seamus Ryan
The death has occurred of Seamus Ryan, Towerhill, The Green, Ballyragget, Kilkenny. He died peacefully at his home on Saturday 22nd July 2023. Predeceased by his wife Ann (née Roberts), Daughters Geraldine (Murphy) and Mary, his brother Liam. Deeply regretted by his son Jim, daughter-in-law Liz, son-in-law Patsy, grandchildren Shauna, Rachel, Jim, Jack, Noelle, Roisin and Alannah. Sadly missed by his sisters Kathleen and Maureen, and his brother Donal, Nieces, Nephews relatives and a large circle of friends.
