Sr Agnes O'Shea

The death has occurred of Sr Agnes (Monica) O'Shea, peacefully at St. Mary's Abbey, Glencairn, Lismore, County Waterford, late of Windgap, County Kilkenny. Predeceased by her brothers Michael and Fr John and sisters Margaret, Philomena, Christina and Veronica. Sadly missed by her Cistercian community, her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnephews, great-grandnieces, extended family and many friends.

Requiem Mass on Tuesday, September 5th, at 11.30am in the Abbey Church, followed by burial in the Abbey Cemetery.

Tommy Phelan

The death has occurred of Tommy Phelan, Coolmeen, Ballyhale, Kilkenny. Tommy passed away on Saturday 2nd September, peacefully at home, following an illness bravely borne. Tommy will be greatly missed by his loving wife Claire, son Mark, mother Alice, brothers Michael, Sean, Paul and Patrick, sister Noeleen, mother-in-law Kathleen, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends

Requiem Mass on Monday at 12noon, at St. Martin's Church, Ballyhale. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. John O'Brien

The death has occurred of John O'Brien, Garryricken, Windgap, Kilkenny, peacefully, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny on Friday, 1st September 2023. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his loving family, his beloved wife Marie, sons Peter and Frank, daughters Marie and Emer, sister Kitty (Dillane), brothers Michael, Niall and Dermot, daughters-in-law Helen and Michelle, sons-in-law Colm and Dermot, grandchildren Darragh and Ronan, Heather, Victoria and Ava, Eimear and Cillian, Eoin, Aisling, Aidan and Ellen, sisters-in-law, niece, nephews, relatives, kind neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Molloy’s Funeral Home, Callan, (Eircode R95 Y443) on Saturday, 2nd September, from 3pm to 7pm pausing for Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 5pm. Funeral arriving to St. Nicholas’ Church, Windgap on Sunday, 3rd September, for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Dorothy Rose Wood

The death has occurred of Dorothy Rose Wood, The Meadows, Piltown, Kilkenny / Dublin. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Brian, son Bryan and his family, step son Stephen and his family, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
