Luke Crosbie
Funeral details have been announced for Luke Crosbie, who died on Thursday following a tragic accident in Freshford, County Kilkenny.
Luke will be reposing in Kennedy's Funeral Home Freshford (R95 C44T) on Monday evening from 5pm with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7pm.
Funeral Mass on Tuesday in Clontubrid Church (R95 Y627) at 11am.
Burial afterwards in St Lachtain's Cemetery, Freshford.
Luke is pre-deceased by his grandmother Monica (Crosby).
Deeply regretted by his heartbroken parents Kathleen and Nigel, brothers Hakim and Jack, sister Zoe, grandparents Liam and Siobhan (Crosbie) and Joe (Crosby), aunts and uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
Cathaoirleach of Kilkenny County Council, Michael McCarthy, who is from Freshford, told Kilkenny Live that the village and the wider community are in 'a state of shock' following the incident.
"It's incredibly sad," he said. "The family are well-known and respected in the area and our thoughts and prayers are with them at this incredibly difficult time."
