RIP: Much-loved Kilkenny man laid to rest after unexpected passing

The late Gerry Kennedy (RIP)

Much-loved and well-respected local man Gerry Kennedy has been remembered fondly following his unexpected and tragic passing over the weekend.

Mr Kennedy's death has sent shockwaves through communities across Kilkenny and Ireland - and has been met with great grief by those who knew him.

Based in Coppenagh, Gerry worked hard as a builder and enjoyed socialising when not working with a wide network of friends.

He will be sadly missed by his sons Jack, Danny, Tom and Jamie, his daughter Lucy, their mother Denise, his parents Jim and Ann Kennedy, his brothers PJ, Michael, Niall and James, his sister Bernie, his extended family and many friends.

Hundreds of condolences have been expressed to Gerry, his family and his wider circle of friends since his passing.
