RIP: 'He was a gentleman' - Mourners send condolences to Kilkenny family

Mourners have left condolences for the family of Kilkenny man Ray Shannon.

Formerly of Arthurstown, New Ross, Co Wexford, Ray passed away peacefully in the Oak Ward, Waterford University Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

Sadly missed by his loving wife Sophia Flynn, children Alex, Heidi and Eli, parents Ray and Patricia, sisters and brother Kerryann, Adam and Lindsay, mother-in-law Catherine and predeceased by his father-in-law Seanie, aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and a large circle of friends.

"I am deeply saddened to learn of Ray's passing. This has come as a complete shock. Ray worked with me on a project last year and was a true gentleman."

"Deepest sympathy to all the family on the sad passing of Ray."'

Reposing at Cooney's Funeral Home, New Ross, (Y34 FK44) on Wednesday, March 26 from 2pm concluding at 8pm.

Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, March 27 at 12noon in St David's Church, Listerlin, (X91 XW67) followed by burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
