The death has occurred of Margaret Devane (née O'Sullivan), St. Fiacre's Place, Kilkenny. Margaret, in her 98th year, passed away on April 15, 2025, surrounded by her family. Beloved wife of the late Seán and much loved mother of Marguerite (Sweeney), Michael (Max), Majella (Coady), Joanne (O'Dwyer) and Kevin. Margaret will be dearly missed by her loving family, sister Chrissie, daughters-in-law Mary and Margaret, sons-in-law Gus and Brian, grandchildren Daniel, Stephanie, Seán and Sophie, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Wednesday, April 16, from 5pm to 7pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6pm. Funeral Service on Holy Thursday at 11am in St. Patrick's Church, Kilkenny. Funeral afterwards to St. Kieran's Cemetery. House private please. The Funeral Service will be live streamed HERE
The death has occurred of Pat Walsh, 15 St. Fiacre's Place, Kilkenny. Pat passed away on April 14, 2025 at St. Luke's Hospital, after a short illness. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Maureen Walsh, sister May (Larkin) and brothers-in-law Michael "Muggers" Larkin and PJ Hennessy. Pat will be sadly missed by his loving daughter Lucy, brothers Willie (Billy) and Jimmy, sisters Ann, Phil, Dolores and Teresa, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at his home on Wednesday April 16, from 4pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6.30pm. Removal on Thursday at 1pm to Foulkstown Cemetery for Committal Service at 1.30pm
The death has occurred of Benen (Benny) McDonagh, Curraghmore, Owning, Piltown, Kilkenny, on Sunday, April 13, 2025, listening to his favourite music surrounded by his favourite people. Loved and missed by his wife Kiri, children Dubhaltach and partner Charmaine, Amber-Pixie and Caleb, granddaughter Orcah, father Ben, sisters Martina, Fiona and Niamh, nieces, nephews, outlaws, in-laws and all who loved him. He is predeceased by his mother Delia.
