The death has occurred of Richard Cuddihy, known as Dick, Ashford Co. Wicklow and formerly of Dun Emer, Dublin and Freshford Co. Kilkenny, on August 10, 2025. Peacefully, just after his 90th birthday, at St Vincent’s University Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband and best friend of Dorothy and much loved Dad of Sheila and John. Devoted Grandad to Robert, Peter and Kathryn, Papa to Aoife and Eoin, Great Grandad to Oliver and father-in-law to Bobby and Natasha. Sadly missed by his brothers John Joe and Joseph, sisters Peggy, Caith, Nora, Bernadette and Teresa, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and his wide circle of friends. Pre-deceased by his brothers Tom and Pat, and his sister Mary.
Richard will be reposing at McCrea’s Funeral Home, Dublin Road, Wicklow Town (A67 E003) on Monday, August 18, from 9.30am to 10.30am, followed directly by Funeral Mass at the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Ashford, Co. Wicklow (A67 Y672) at 11am. For those who cannot attend, the Funeral Mass can be viewed on link to follow. Followed by private cremation. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to The Irish Society for Autism. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to all of the staff at Knockrobin Hill Care Home for the exceptional care, kindness and friendship shown to Richard during his time with them.
The death has occurred of Josephine Farrell, Narabane, Kilmacow, Co. Kilkenny, who died on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, aged 79 years. Peacefully, in the tender care of her loving family and all the staff at Bandon Community Hospital, Co. Cork, predeceased by her parents Patrick and Nora, sisters Mary (Cummins) and Ellen (Crowe), brother Thomas. Josephine will be sadly missed by her brother-in-law Liam, nieces Martina, Deirdre and Sandra, nephews Adrian and Conor, grandnieces Ella and Daisy, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Josephine's removal will take place on Thursday, August 14, to Senan's Church, Kilmacow, arriving for 8pm, Josephine's Requiem Mass will take place on Friday, August 15, at 11am, after which Josephine will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. Funeral mass can be viewed on: MASS LINK
The death has occurred of Pete (Doggy) Fitzgerald, Rathfadden Villas, Waterford, and late of Rathnure, Glenmore, Co. Kilkenny and Clover Meats, who died on Monday, August 12, 2025, aged 88 years. Peacefully in the tender care of his loving family and all the staff at Mooncoin Residential Care Centre, Predeceased by his wife Josephine, parents, brothers and sisters. Pete will be sadly missed by his daughter Antoinette, sons Michael, Peter and Daniel, son-in-law Trevor, daughters-in-law Anne and Yvonne, grandchildren Amy, Cliff, Michael, Eric, Sean, James, Rhionna, Illana, Scott and Ross, great-grandchildren Craig, Dillon, Olivia, Katie, Chloe, Daniel and Ella, great-great-grandchildren Amelia and Madison, brother John, sister Nan, sisters-in-law Rita, Ann and Betty, brother-in law Freddie, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

The death has occurred of Larry Barcoe, Saint Mary's Court, Gowran, formerly of Coolatogher, Skeoughvasteen, who passed away peacefully on August 11, 2025. Predeceased by his parents Paddy and Lizzie. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by his grieving family, his children Katherine, Annemarie, Paddy and their spouses, his grandchildren Sorcha, Síona, Faolán and Jarlath, his brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and large circle of friends.

The death has occurred of Elizabeth Noonan (née Murphy) Knockphunta Park, Castlebar, Mayo and formerly of Windgap and Callan, Co. Kilkenny. Peacefully, at Queen of Peace Nursing Home, Knock, Co. Mayo on Friday, July 4, 2025. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her daughter Mary, her son-in-law Ian, her granddaughters Clare and Ciara and their partners Max and Liam, her great granddaughter Amelie and her great grandson Xander, her sister Mary, her brother Laurence, nieces, nephews and especially her niece Mai, neighbours and friends and Máire and Martina.
A Months Mind Mass will take place in St. Nicholas’ Church, Windgap, Co. Kilkenny on Saturday, August 16, at 7.15pm. Burial of Ashes will follow afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
The death has occurred of Jerry (Jeremiah) Nolan of Baurnafea, Castlewarren, Co. Kilkenny, and London, U.K. who passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on August 8, 2025. Beloved husband of Kathleen, much loved father of Mary and Gerry, dearly held grandfather of Jack, Tom, Lily, Ben and Holly, cherished brother of the late Nora, late Martin, Dick, Tommy, Bridget and Mary. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Kathleen, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, daughter-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, kind neighbours, and friends.
