The death has occurred of Annie Kelly (née O'Sullivan), late of Glasnevin and formerly of Callan, Co Kilkenny, on August 31, 2025 (peacefully) in the exceptional care of the staff of St Pappin’s Nursing Home, Ballymun surrounded by her loving family. Annie, beloved wife of the late Johnny and devoted mother of Eileen, Susan, Richard, Barbara, Ann, Jean and the late Anthony. She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughters, sons, daughters-in-law Heather and Liz, sons-in-law Tony, Gerry, Eddie and Gareth, cherished grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Nellie and Peggy, brother Mickey, sisters-in-law Mary, extended family, relatives, friends and neighbours.
Reposing at her home on Friday, September 5, from 5pm to 7pm. Funeral on Saturday morning, September 6, in St Canice’s Church arriving for 10am Requiem Mass. The death has occurred of Caroline Deady Bergin, Canada and formerly of High Street, Tralee, Co. Kerry/ Kilkenny/ Galway/ Laois. Died peacefully on August 24, 2025 in Canada. Predeceased by her parents Maureen and Denis, brothers Timothy and John. Caroline will be sadly missed by her loving family, husband Bill, sons Tim and Peter, daughters Melanie and Fiona and her adored grandchildren William, Isla, Evelyn, James, Maeve and Desmond, daughter in law Beverley, sons in law Tom and Gareth, sisters Anne, Phil and Sindy. Caroline will also be lovingly remembered by her brothers in law and sisters in law, her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends, at home and abroad.
A memorial service will take place in Ancaster, Canada on Monday September 8, 2025 at 12pm.
The death has occurred of Mathew Ryan, Bushypark, Galway, formerly of Knockreagh House, Callan, Co. Kilkenny. Matt passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 28, with his much-loved family by his side in the wonderful care of the Galway Hospice. Dearly beloved brother of the late Philomena, Monica, Teresa, Donal and Tom. Matt is deeply mourned by his wife Noreen, daughter Kathleen, sons Matt and Liam and his brother Dermot. He will also be sadly missed by his daughter-in-law Maria, Kathleen’s fiancée Dan, grandchildren Nicholas and Miroslava, nieces and nephews, the extended Ryan and Mulrooney family, neighbours and friends.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Matt on Tuesday, September 2, at 11am. Following Mass he will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. Donations, if desired, can be made in memory of Matt to the Galway Hospice Foundation here

The death has occurred of Michael Murphy, Hillview, Killamery, Nine-Mile-House, Carrick-on-Suir, Co. Tipperary. Peacefully, following a long illness, surrounded by his closest friends, in the wonderful care of staff at Mooncoin Residential Care Centre, Kilkenny on Saturday, August 30, 2025. Pre-deceased by his parents John and Bridget, his brothers Jim and Seán and his sister Breda. Michael will be sadly missed by his sisters Johanna (England) and Maria (England), his partner Claire, nieces, nephews, neighbours, his many great friends, especially his friends at the Kilkenny and Suir Valley Motor Clubs and Faugheen RR Club.

The death has occurred of Patricia Fortune, Shanbogh, Rosbercon, New Ross, Co. Kilkenny. Patricia passed unexpectedly but peacefully at her home on August 29, 2025. Predeceased by her father Paddy, brother Brian and Uncle Phil. Deeply regretted by her loving mother Alice, brothers Larry and Seamus, sisters Debbie and Kate, uncle Lar and auntie Mary. The death has occurred of David Dillon, Ballasalla, Johnswell, Co. Kilkenny. David, in his 50th year, passed away, surrounded by family, on August 30, 2025, after a short illness and in the exceptional care of the staff at CCU, University Hospital, Waterford. Beloved son of Geraldine and the late Tommy and much loved brother of Tom, Jennifer and Catherine. David will be dearly missed by his heartbroken family, sister-in-law Teresa and brothers-in-law Michael and Daniel. David was a wonderful uncle to Emma, Aoife, Ella, Orla, Conn, Rory, Cara and Síle by whom he will be greatly missed. Deeply regretted by his uncles Sonny and John, cousins, extended family and a circle of good friends. David's family would like to thank in a special way all at the Dialysis Unit in University Hospital, Waterford for the kindness and care shown to David over the last number of years.

Kay, in her 93rd year, passed away on August 30, 2025, peacefully, surrounded by family, in the wonderful care of the staff at Tinnypark Nursing Home. Predeceased by her beloved husband Tom, her sons Michael and Jarlath, sister Noreen and brother Seamus. Much loved mother of Brendan, Ann and Joe. Kay will be dearly missed by her loving family, sister Anne (Treacy), son-in-law Tony, daughters-in-law Mary and Trish, grandchildren Killian, Rachel, David, Stephen, Heather, Josh and Ally, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
