The death has occurred of Michael Walsh, Ballygorey, Mooncoin, Kilkenny / Waterford. Aged 70 years, Michael passed peacefully on Monday, September 29, surrounded by his loving family under the tender care of the ICU team in UHW. Predeceased by his parents Pat and Mary.
Beloved husband of Helena (née Silke), best friend and love of his life, forever in the hearts of his children Fiona, Sharon, Aisling and Deirdre and their partners Alan, Liam, David and David, sadly missed by his sisters Anna and Joan and his brother Paddy, his grandchildren Seán, Conor, Ruairí, Orla and Cora whom he cherished and adored, his brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
The death has occurred of Catherine Curran (née Farrell) of Oak Park Road, Carlow and Hillview Nursing Home, Carlow and formally of Deerpark and Kilmanagh Co. Kilkenny. Predeceased by her husband Paddy, parents Michael and Margaret, sisters Nora Leahy and Margaret Farrell, sister-in-law Maureen Murphy and brothers in law. Catherine will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her loving family, her children Seamus, Maura, Pat, Yvonne, Micheal, Ann-Marie and Orla, sister Mary Ivens, daughters-in-law Mabel, Carol and Paula, sons-in-law John Power, Serge Martin and Daniel Fonseca, grandchildren Brendan, Nichola, Patrick, Sarah, Shay & Niamh, Giselle and Loic, Danielle, Barry and Gavin, Gabriel, Karn and Ruairi, great grandchildren Jack and Josh, Caoimhe and Ciara, Nicolena and Zaren, Sorcha, Daragh and Evie, Caitlin, Rene and Riadh. nephews, nieces, relatives and all her Community Games friends.
Reposing at Carpenter Bros Funeral Home, Shamrock Sq., (Eircode R93 C863) on Wednesday, October 1, from 3pm concluding with Prayers at 7pm that evening. Removal from there on Thursday at 9.45am to The Cathedral of the Assumption, Carlow arriving for Funeral Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to St Mary’s Cemetery, Ballykeefe, Ballycallan, Co Kilkenny arriving for burial at 12.30pm. House private please.
The death has occurred of Rose (Rosie) Rowe (née Coyne), Fr. Albert Square, Kilkenny. Rosie passed away on September 25, 2025, unexpectedly, at her home. Predeceased by her loving husband Martin (Murt) and her brother Martin (Coyne). Rosie will be sadly missed by her brother Jim, nephew Martin, nieces Catherine and Lilian, Lilian's husband Joe, grandniece Chloe, grandnephews, Shane, Damien, Aidan and Conor, extended family, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Frank Woods, Chapel Street, Mooncoin, Co. Kilkenny and late of W.I.T. Waterford, who died on September 25, 2025, aged 90 Years. Peacefully, in the tender care of his loving family and the staff at University Hospital Waterford. Predeceased by his wife Eileen, parents, brothers and sister. Frank will be sadly missed by his sons Gerard, Michael, Frank and Andrew, daughters-in-law Jenny, Sharon, Susan and Martina, grandchildren Robert, Mikey, Katie, Aoife, Cillian, Alison and Brian, sister Lizzie, sister-in-law Sr. de Pazzi, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Kathleen Mahony (née Kelly), McAuley Place and formerly of Wolfe Tone Street, Kilkenny City, who died peacefully on September 27, 2025 surrounded by her loving family in the excellent care of all the staff in Archersrath Nursing Home, Kilkenny City, predeceased by her husband Paddy, son-in-law Tommy Phelan and brothers and sisters. Deeply loved and missed by her Son Alan, daughters Linda (Roberts), Claire (Phelan), Angela Mahony (O'Donoghue), Siobhan and her Partner Thierry Millet and Patricia. Sons-in-law Paul Roberts, Richard O Donoghue, her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, her adored (8) grandchildren, (4) great grandchildren, sisters Teresa and Liz, nieces and nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10.30am in St. John’s Church followed by burial in St. Kieran’s Cemetery. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed from St. John’s Church Webcam. Kathleen’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks to G.P Dr. Mark McGuane, Patrick Street, Medical Centre and all the staff in Archersrath Nursing Home for all their help and support given to Kathleen and her family during her stay there.
