The death has occurred of Nicholas (Nicky) McGrath, Lacken Drive, Kilkenny, and formerly of Templorum and Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. Nicky passed away on October 16, 2025, peacefully, at St. Luke's Hospital. Beloved husband of the late Peggy and much loved father of Mick, Ricky, Mark, Nicky, Anne Marie and Chris. Nicky will be sadly missed by his loving family, brother Tom, sister Sr. Breda, son-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends. The family would like to thank in a special way the staff at Kilkenny Care Centre and previous to that Strathmore Lodge, Callan for the kindness and care shown to Nicky during his time with them

The death has occurred of John Gannon, Ballylogue, The Rower, Kilkenny and late of Nunnery Lane, New Ross, Co. Wexford, on October 16, 2025. Predeceased by his parents Jack and Helen Gannon. John will be very sadly missed by his loving wife Betty, son Paul and daughter’s Lisa and Áine and their partners Anthony, Shaun and Dylan, brothers Jim and Michael, sisters Mary, Kathleen, Anne, Patricia, Helen and Teresa, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Cooney's Funeral Home, New Ross, on Sunday, October 19, from 3pm concluding at 7pm, pausing for prayers at 6pm. Removal on Monday, October 20, to The Church of The Assumption, The Rower, arriving for funeral mass at 11am, followed by private cremation. John's Mass can be viewed on Monday, October 20, at 11am. Family flowers only please, donations if desired to the Renal Unit, University Hospital Waterford.
The death has occurred of Claire Dalton (née Carroll) Oldcourt, Templeorum, Piltown, Co. Kilkenny. Claire passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, October 17. Pre-deceased by her loving father Patrick (Pat). Beloved wife of Desmond and loving mother of Caithlín. She will be sadly missed by her dearest mother Phil, sisters Margaret, Stephanie and Siobháin, Brothers Mark, Alan and Brian, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and all of her wonderful Friends.
Reposing at her home on Sunday, October 19, from 3pm to 5pm. Removal on Monday, October 20, to Church of The Assumption, Piltown for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. House strictly private at all other times please.
The death has occurred of Jamie Brennan, 9 Colliers Lane Upper, Kilminchy, Portlaoise, Laois, and formerly of Barna Ballinakill. He died peacefully in Portlaoise Hospital surrounded by his loving family on Friday October 17, 2025. Jamie will be sadly missed by his adoring parents Jimmy and Bernie, Aunts Uncles, cousins, relatives and a large circle of friends.
Removal from his home on Monday 20th at 1.15pm to St. Peter and Pauls Church, Portlaoise for 2pm requiem mass followed by burial in Ballinakill Cemetery.
The death has occurred of John Grace, Mallfield, Thomastown, Kilkenny, and formerly of Grennan, Thomastown, peacefully at Gowran Abbey nursing home. Predeceased by his brothers Jim, William and Paddy, his sister Ellen and his parents Bill and Mary. Sadly missed by his brother Percy, sister Josie (Lannon) nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

Peacefully, in her 100th year, in the loving care of The Staff at University Hospital Waterford on Sunday, October 19, 2025. Pre-deceased by her parents Francis and Margaret, brothers Fr. Seán (Ennis) and Francis and her sisters Sr. Marie Thérese and Sr. Mona. Deeply regretted and sadly missed by her loving family, her sister Eva Rahilly, Quinn, Co. Clare, her nieces, nephews-in-law, grandnieces, grandnephews, The Sisters of Mercy, Callan and The Southern Branch and friends.
Reposing at The Convent Chapel, Villa Maria, Talbots Inch, Kilkenny (Eircode R95 KC9R), on Monday, October 20, from 4pm concluding with Evening Prayer at 7pm. Funeral arriving to The Church of the Assumption, Callan for Requiem Mass on Tuesday, October 21, at 11am. Burial will follow afterwards in Kilbride Cemetery, Callan. Beloved husband of Kitty and much loved father of John, Siobhán, Eamon, Catriona, Mary and Alan. John will be sadly missed by his wife and children, brother Jimmy, sisters Noreen (Grogan) and Ann (O'Shaughnessy), his 12 grandchildren, nephews, nieces, in-laws, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his parents John and Mary and by his brother Tommy.
