The death has occurred of Tommy Cuddihy, Cashel Avenue, Cashel Downs, Kilkenny and formerly of Green Street, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, who died on Friday, October 24, 2025, following an accident. Pre-deceased by his parents Patrick and Josephine (Babe) Cuddihy. He will be deeply missed and his memories kept alive by his beloved wife Kay (née O’Brien), his loving children Simon, Tom and Ciara and their partners. Cherished by his sister Joan and his brothers Joe, Martin, Pa and Seamus and their families. Sadly missed by Kay’s brothers, Simon, John, Oliver and Michael and their families. He will always be remembered by his many friends and work colleagues.
Funeral, prayers and Requiem Mass will take place in Callan, with dates to be announced in the coming days.
The death has occurred of Anna Delahunty (née Cody), Glen Crescent, Mullinavat and late of Castlebanny, Ballyhale, Co. Kilkenny, who died on Thursday, October 23, 2025, peacefully in her 82nd year in the tender care of her loving family and all the staff at University Hospital Waterford. Predeceased by her parents Jack and Lena, brothers Jim, Paddy and John. Anna will be sadly missed by her loving husband Ned, daughters Catherine, Mary, Noeleen and Olivia, sons-in-law John, Michael, Willie and Steve, grandchildren Valerie, Killian, Vivienne, Michelle, Jessica, Stephen, George, Ella, Kerrie-Ann, Oisín and Saoirse, great grandchildren Lena, Conor and Ailbhe, sister Peggy, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and her many friends.
Anna's removal will take place on Monday, October 27, walking from her home to St. Beacon's Church, Mullinavat, arriving for Requiem Mass at 12noon, after which Anna will be laid to rest in the adjoining cemetery. The funeral mass can be viewed here: MASS LINK
The death has occurred of Frances Roche (née Challoner), Grennan, Thomastown, Kilkenny. Frances died peacefully at home on Friday, October 24. She is pre-deceased by her husband Stephen and sister Mary. Frances is deeply missed by her daughter Denise; sons: Daniel, Joe, Colm and Stephen; son-in-law Bill; daughters-in-law: Maria and Edelle; grandchildren: Danny, Katie, Liam, Cormac, Donnacha, Hazel, Luke, Grace, James and Frances; brothers: Liam and Seán; brother-in-law Jimmy; sisters-in-law: Lily, Laura and Margaret; extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her daughter Denise's home in Pleberstown, Thomastown (R95 K446) on Tuesday, October 28, from 3pm to 8pm with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 7pm. Removal on Wednesday morning to the Church of the Assumption, Thomastown to arrive for 11am Requiem Mass followed by interment in St Mary's New Cemetery, Thomastown, Co Kilkenny. The death has occurred of Eddy O'Sullivan, Dournane Road, Mooncoin, Co. Kilkenny, on October 26, 2025.Formerly of Newports Terrace, Waterford and Old Leighlin, Carlow. Late Master of Scoil Molaise, Old Leighlin, Carlow. Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Timothy and his brothers Owen, Michael and Jimmy. The death has occurred of Sheila O'Neill (née Duffy), Archers Crescent, Loughboy, Kilkenny, and formerly of Currygrane, Ballinalee, Co. Longford. Sheila passed away on October 25, 2025, peacefully, at St. Luke's Hospital. Beloved wife of the late John and much loved mother of Annette and Shaun. Sheila will be dearly missed by her loving family, brothers Jim, Brendan, Vincent, Kevin, Oliver and Frank, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends. Sheila is also predeceased by her sister Alice and brothers Sean, Joseph, Michael and Patrick. The death has occurred of Kevin Barry, Middleknock, Dublin Road, Kilkenny City, peacefully at his residence after a long illness bravely fought, surrounded by his loving and caring family on Sunday, October 26, 2025. Predeceased by his wife Eileen, mother Eileen and brothers Michael and Johnny. Kevin will be sadly missed by his devoted family, partner Suchada Vipakool, sons Michael, Kevin and daughter Linda.
