The death has occurred of Gladys Dorothy McClean (née Colclough), Rossmore, Errill, Co. Laois and formerly Freshford, Co. Kilkenny, peacefully in the loving care of nurses and staff at University Hospital Portlaoise in the presence of her loving family. Predeceased by her husband Thomas John McClean, her sisters Mary Tanner and Betty Moynan. Sadly missed and remembered with love by her daughter Margaret, son William, son-in-law Tommy, daughter-in-law Johanna, grandchildren Linda, Philip and Gary McKay, Jonathan, Robert, Thomas and William McClean, great grandchildren Matthew and Daniel (Carter), Aria and Oisín McKay, brothers Robert and George Colclough, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Reposing at her residence Rossmore, Errill, Co. Laois (Eircode R32 XH28) on Wednesday from 2pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal takes place on Thursday, January 1, to St. Andrew's Church, Rathdowney arriving for funeral service at 2pm. Interment afterwards in the local cemetery, Rathdowney. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank most sincerely doctors, nurses and staff at Beaumont and Portlaoise Hospitals for the care and attention shown to Gladys. The death has occurred of Barney (Golly) Power, Skittles Lane, Graignamanagh, Co. Kilkenny, on December 28, 2025. Predeceased by his loving sons Luke, Thomas and Vincent, daughter Helen, father Barney, brothers John and Michael, sister Nellie, grandchildren Eamonn and Richard and great grandchild Christopher. Barney passed away peacefully, on Sunday, December 28, 2025 aged 78 years. Sadly missed by his loving daughters Bridgie, Mary, Bernadette, Lillyanne, Crystal and Jenny, sons Barney, Michael, Stephen and James, grandchildren, brothers Luke and Paddy, sisters-in-law Mauda and Lily, brother-in-law Tom, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, neighbours and friends.

The death has occurred of Patricia (Patsy) Cahill., Barrowmount Road, Goresbridge, Co. Kilkenny, who died on December 29, 2025. Peacefully in St. Columba's Nursing Home, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. Predeceased by her parents Jim and Bridie, sister Rena, sister Mary her brother in law Martin, her nephew Jim. She will be sadly missed by her niece Mary, nephew Martin, and their families. also by her many friends and staff of St Columba's Nursing Home in Thomastown. Her friends and relations in Goresbridge.

The death has occurred of John Foley, 1. The Old Coach House and 5 Brandon Park, Graignamanagh, Co. Kilkenny. John passed away suddenly on December 24, 2025. Deeply missed by his heartbroken partner Sarah, his devoted parents Dessie and Ann, his sisters Barbara and Audrey and their partners Johnny and James, his nieces, nephews Killian, Sophie, Pádraig, Erin and Daithí, his neighbours and his many friends. John will repose in The Old Coach House on Tuesday, December 30, from 2pm to 8pm.
Removal on Wednesday, December 31, to a cremation service for John in Newlands Cross Crematorium (eircode D24K1CY) at 12.30pm and all are welcome. The death has occurred of Joan O'Sullivan (née Tyrrell), The Forge, Kilderry, Johnswell, Kilkenny, December, 27, 2025, (peacefully) surrounded by her loving family, after a short illness at St. Luke's Hospital. Beloved wife of Michael and much loved mother of Paula, Angie and Mark.
