Johnstown and surrounding areas were shocked at the news of the unexpected death of Paddy Sweeney, Spa Hill and Ballyspellan. Paddy was very well known and respected in the area for his work and personality.
Predeceased by his parents John and Bridget, he is survived by his wife Margaret; children Paul, Amy, Linda and Kevin; Paul’s partner Triona; Amy’s husband Kevin; Linda’s husband Liam; Kevin’s partner Saoirse; grandchildren Eanna, Roise, Riadh and Paidi; brothers; sisters; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; nephews; his cousin and best friend Jim; extended family; neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Requiem Mass was celebrated in St Fiachra’s Church, Clontubrid, with burial in the adjoining cemetery.
