RIP: 'A gentleman' - Kilkenny in mourning following death of much loved publican

The late Paddy Brennan

A Kilkenny community is mourning the sad passing of Paddy Brennan.

In a statement online, Paddy's Country Pub shared the news of Mr Brennan's passing with 'broken hearts'.

"A true publican in every sense, he fed many a farmer, offered a friendly chat to anyone who crossed his door, and always had a kind word ready. His wit was quick, his welcome was warm, and his presence made every room feel lighter," they said.

"Paddy was a gentleman through and through, one of a kind, and one who will never be replaced.

"May he rest in peace, and may his stories, his laughter, and his kindness live on in all who knew him," the post concluded.
