The death has occurred of Eileen Murphy (née Murphy), Stephen Street, Kilkenny, and formerly of Ballykeeffe, Co. Kilkenny. Eileen passed away on April 19, 2026, peacefully, at St. Luke's Hospital, after a short illness. Predeceased by her husband Billy and more recently her son Liam. Beloved mother of Alan, Paul, Linda, Mark and David. Eileen will be dearly missed by her loving family, sister Rita, brother John, grandchildren Gavin, Lindsey, Abby, Paul, Hollie, Ben, Eric, Billy, Ciara, Fiadh, Aoibhne and Dáire, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing in Johnston's Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny (R95XE00) on Monday, April 20, from 5pm to 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm. Requiem Mass on Tuesday at 11am in St. Mary's Cathedral. Funeral afterwards to St. Kieran's Cemetery. House private please. The Requiem Mass will be live streamed here REQUIEM MASS
The death has occurred of Edward (Eddie) Teehan, Bullockhill House, Bullockhill, Ballyfoyle, Co. Kilkenny. Eddie passed away on April 18, 2026, peacefully, at St. Luke's Hospital. Beloved husband of Marjorie and much loved father of Margaret, Sheelagh, Caitriona and Richard. Eddie will be dearly missed by his loving family, brother Ray, sisters Breda (Comerford) and Ber (Kehoe), sons-in-law Simon O'Neill, Damien Webster and Alan Doolan, Richard's partner Niamh Sheehy, grandchildren Finn, Dara, Robyn, Teidí and Ava, father-in-law Brendan McDonnell, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, nephews, nieces, cousins, neighbours and his many friends. Eddie is predeceased by his parents Dick and Maureen and brothers Vincent, Mossie and Tony.
Reposing at his home in Bullockhill (R95H425) on Tuesday, April 21, from 5pm concluding with Rosary and Prayers at 9pm. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11am in St. Joseph's Church, Ballyfoyle. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
The death has occurred of Daniel Shearer, Cul Na Greine, Shannon, Co. Clare and late of Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny. Peacefully in University Hospital Limerick surrounded by his loving family on April 18. Predeceased by his sons James and Charles. Deeply missed by his heartbroken family, daughters Tracey, Christine and Donna, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.

The death has occurred of Mary Kavanagh (née Dinneen) of Strathmore, Kiljames, Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny (formerly of 1 Longville Tce, Upperstrand, Youghal, Co. Cork and Droumduve, Ballylickey, Bantry Co. Cork) peacefully and surrounded by her loving family in St Lukes Hospital on 18th of April 2026. Predeceased by her loving husband Harry Kavanagh, son Alan, grandson Killian and sister Noreen, wonderful mother to Ken and Harry, Very sadly missed by her daughters-in-law Ali and Dee. Sisters Kay, Madge and Breda, brothers Tim, Denis and Danny. Beloved grandmother to Cian, Jack, Katie, Harry, Archie, Libby, Freddy, Killian, Cameron and Corey.
Mary's funeral will take place privately for family in Cork.
