The death has occurred of Columba Hetherington, Northfield, Birmingham, England, and formerly of Marymount, Castlecomer, Co. Kilkenny, on April 15, 2026. Predeceased by her parents John and Anne, sister Helen, brothers Jim and John. Columba will be deeply missed by her children Mairéad and James, her loving partner Mike, her adored grandchildren Dominic, Lucas and Jacob, sisters Mairéad and Roseanne, brother Ger, sisters-in-law Mairéad and Gaby, brother-in-law Micheal, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives and many friends

The death has occurred of Joan Curtis (née Murphy), Newhallow, Mulgannon, Wexford, and formerly of Percival Street, Kanturk, Co. Cork. Joan passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, in the wonderful care of all the staff at Gowran Abbey Nursing Home, Gowran, Co. Kilkenny. Beloved mother of John, Jerry, Denis and Sinéad and sister of Sr Noreen and Denis (Dinny) Murphy. Joan will be deeply missed by her loving family, daughters-in-law Eileen, Carolyn and Sharon, son-in-law Edward, grandchildren Aisling, Eoin, Siobhán, Christopher, Bryan, Dillon, Tully, Cal, Finn, Evie, Dan and Ella, great granddaughter Loua, brothers-in-law Fr Jim Curtis (Clongeen) and Pat Horgan, sister-in-law Mary, nephews, nieces, extended family and many friends. Joan is predeceased by her beloved husband Denis, her parents Jeremiah (Jerry) and Hannah and her sisters Ann Murphy, Abina (Bea) Madden and Peg Horgan.
Reposing at Johnston’s Funeral Home, John's Green, Kilkenny, (R95 XE00) on Wednesday, April 22, from 5pm concluding at 7pm with Prayers at 6.30pm. Removal on Thursday morning (April 23) to St. Colman’s Church, Clara, (R95 K290) arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St Stephen’s Cemetery, Irishtown, New Ross (Y34 D342) arriving at 2.30pm approx. The death has occurred of Paddy Butler, Ballylarkin, Freshford, Kilkenny, who died on Monday, in St. Luke's Hospital Kilkenny in his 92nd year, surrounded by his loving family in the excellent care of the staff of the CCU. Pre-deceased by his parents Jim and Catherine, brothers Jim, Mick, Johnny and Tom. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Lilly (Curry), sons Séamus and Philip, daughters Marie and Kay (Burke), grandchildren Byron, Tara, Adrian, James and Róisín, brother Kieran, sisters Peggy (Broderick), Kathleen (Barnaville), son-in-law Adrian, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
