Ann Boyle

The death has occurred of Ann Boyle, Aislinn House, College Square and formerly of Park View, Freshford Road, Kilkenny City, on February 9th 2022 at Our Lady's Hospice and Care Services, Harold's Cross, Dublin, following a short illness which she bore with great dignity and courage. Ann was much loved and will be greatly missed by her family, relatives, work colleagues, neighbours and friends. Her brothers Tom and Kieran, sisters Eileen and Mary, sisters-in-law Margaret and Gudela, nieces and nephews, Seán, Anna, Ciara, Rory, Conor, Alejandro, Liam and Alan. She will be hugely missed by her H.S.E. colleagues.

Reposing at her family home in Park View on Saturday (12th February) from 5p.m. until 7.30p.m. Funeral on Sunday after 11.30a.m. Mass in St. Canice's Church to Foulkstown Cemetery. Family flowers only.

Mary Burke (née Brennan)

The death has occurred of Mary Burke (née Brennan), 43 Woodview, Freshford, Kilkenny / Paulstown, Kilkenny. Pre- deceased by her sister Ann (Treacy). Deeply regretted by her loving husband Michael, sons Ger, Paul, David, Fergus, grandchildren Amy, Lily, Emily, Jenny, Hannah, Jack, daughters-in-law, Mary (Healy), Gemma (Howe), sisters Patricia (Healy), Eileen (Broderick), Geraldine (Joyce), brothers Michael, Peadar, Martin, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, kind neighbours, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Kennedy's Funeral Home on Friday from 5.30pm with Vigil Prayers and Rosary at 7.30pm followed by removal to St. Lachtain's Church. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 11 am. Burial afterwards in St. Lachtain's Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations if desired to Castlecomer Hospital.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Mary's Home Care Team and the staff of St. Luke's Hospital and Castlecomer Hospital.

Thomas Kenneally

The death has occurred of Thomas Kenneally, Rosbercon, Kilkenny / Cork, Ealing, London and Spain. Thomas, who passed away 24th Dec 2020. Pre-deceased by his father Daniel late of Inchirahilly, Crookstown Co. Cork and mother Hanora (Nonie) nee Hennessy late of Glensensaw, Rosbercon.

Deeply regretted by his loving family son Ray, sister Marion, brother-in-law Fernando, niece Laura, nephew Fran, relatives and friends.

Prayers will take place at 12 noon, Saturday 12th February in The Church Of The Assumption, Rosbercon followed by burial of ashes in the adjoining cemetery.

 

Gretta Murphy (née Kearney)

The death has occurred of Gretta Murphy (née Kearney), Monmahogue, Tramore, Waterford, formerly of Drumdowney, Slieverue, Co. Kilkenny. She will be sadly missed by her daughters Mary, Eilish, Gretta, Lorraine, Martina, son Eddie, grand-children Ben, Noah, Abby, Huey, Jack, Dylan, Elaina, Dean, Craig, Harry, Ava, Michael, Laura, Thomas, Emma, Darragh, Saoirse and Edward, sisters, brother, sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Requiem Mass on Saturday, 12th February, at 11:30am in the Holy Cross Church, Tramore followed by burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Tramore. Gretta’s funeral cortége will be passing her residence at 11:15am approximately and walking from Lodges Corner for Mass on arrival at 11:30am in the Holy Cross Church, Tramore.

Vera Larkin (née Meighan)

The death has occurred of Vera Larkin (née Meighan), St. Rioch’s Street, Kilkenny City and formerly of Ballycloven, Callan, Co. Kilkenny, died peacefully on Wednesday, 9th February 2022, in the excellent care of the staff and her devoted family in Archersrath Nursing Home, Kilkenny City. Predeceased by her husband Paddy. Deeply regretted by her son Donal, daughters Una and May, son-in-law Terry, brother Paddy and sisters Lily and Ann. Vera will be deeply missed by her grandchildren Nicola, Jaime and David and her great grandsons Aaron and Eolann and Nicola's partner Nathan. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters Maureen, Una, John, Stella, Harry, Michael, Liam, Noel, Peggy and Richard. Sadly missed by her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Shasby’s Funeral Home, Kilkenny City on Friday (11th February) from 5pm, concluding with rosary at 7pm. Removal (Saturday 12th February) to St. Mary’s Cathedral, Kilkenny City for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by interment in St. Kieran’s Cemetery.
