Reverend Father John Delaney

The death has occurred of Reverend Father John Delaney, of Muckalee Parish, Coon, Co. Kilkenny, and formerly of Templequain, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. Died peacefully in the wonderful care of Beechwood Nursing Home, Leighlinbridge. Beloved son of the late Patrick and Margaret, and dear brother of Mary, Paddy, Joe, the late Bill, Breda, Margaret, Anna, and Agnes. Sadly missed by his loving family, his nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, his great-grandnephew, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bishop Nulty and the clergy of the Diocese of Ossory, his friends in the Divine Mercy, his relatives and kind neighbours, and his many friends.

Reposing at Coady's Funeral Home, Castlecomer, on Friday, March 4th, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral arriving at St. Brigid's Church, Coon on Friday at 8 p.m. with reposal in the Church from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday. Requiem mass on Sunday at 3 p.m., with burial immediately afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please with donations in lieu to UNICEF

Stephen Power

The death has occurred of Stephen Power, 6 Hazel Grove, Loughboy, Kilkenny, on 3rd March 2022, peacefully, at home, in the loving care of his family, Stephen, beloved father of Rose, Stephanie, David and Ailish, sadly missed by his loving children and their mother Breda, brothers Sean, Michael, Jim, Martin and Tony, sisters Rose and Mary, sons-in-law Roy, Michael and John, daughter-in-law Emma, his 12 grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at his home (R95 E4FN) on Friday (4th March) from 4pm concluding with Rosary and Vigil Prayers at 6pm. Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am in St. Patrick's Church. Funeral afterwards to Foulkstown Cemetery. For those unable to attend, the Requiem Mass may be viewed online at

Billy Gorman

The death has occurred of Billy Gorman, Monaclear, Ballinakill, Laois / Kilkenny City, Kilkenny. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Marian, sons Shane, Eoin and Darragh, daughter Niamh, brothers and sister, son in law, daughter in law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rosary at 8pm on Friday at his residence. Removal on Saturday at 10.30am to St. Brigid's Church, Ballinakill for Funeral Mass at 11am which can be viewed on the link House Private on Saturday morning please. Family flowers only. 

Seamus Nash

The death has occurred of Seamus Nash, 12 Fr. Raftice Place, Moneenroe, Castlecomer, Kilkenny, on 1st March, 2022. Peacefully after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family and in the loving care of staff in the Cherry Ward at Waterford Regional Hospital. Predeceased by parents Patrick and Maura, sisters Mary and Julia. Seamus will sadly missed by his heartbroken family, beloved wife Catherine, son Padraig, daughters Marie and Louise, daughter-in-law Aisling, son-in-law Eddie. Adored grandchildren Róisín, Adam, Darragh and Conor, brother Edward, sisters Frances, Bridie, Christina, Joan and Annette, brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces and nephews, family and many friends.

Reposing at his daughter Marie's residence (Kealy's Lane, Aughamuckey, R95 V5WX) from 2pm on Friday, 4th March with rosary at 7.30pm. Funeral cortege will arrive at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Moneenroe on Saturday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Marie Rochford (née MacCann)

The death has occurred of Marie Rochford (née MacCann), Glendine, Kilkenny, and formerly Athboy, Co. Meath, 2nd March 2022. In the loving care of Staff at Tinnypark Nursing Home Kilkenny. Predeceased by her husband Seamus. Deeply regretted by her niece, nephews, in-laws, relatives and friends.

Reposing at O'Connell's Funeral Home Killenaule (E41 HH66) this Friday from 6pm to 7pm. Arriving at St. Mary's Church, Killenaule, on Saturday morning for Funeral Mass at 11am. followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Mass can be viewed at

Mary Connolly

The death has occurred of Mary Connolly (née Roche), Rocklands, Ferrybank, Waterford and late of Rickerslands South, Glenmore, Co. Kilkenny, who died 2nd March 2022. Peacefully, at University Hospital Waterford, surrounded by her loving family, predeceased by her husband Ned, parents Tommy and Maggie, sister Biddy (Meagher) and brother Eddie. Mary will be sadly missed by her daughters Frances, Margaret and Catherine (O'Sullivan), sons Eamonn and Brendan, son-in-law Greg, grandsons Kiefer, Caeden and Tiernan, brothers Billy and Marty, sisters Hannie (Fortune), Peggy (Reid), Kathleen (Brennan) and Eileen (Culleton), brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Mary's removal will take place on Saturday 5th March to The Sacred Heart Church, Ferrybank, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
