Maximising the tourism opportunities of Kilkenny's Lingaun valley

The Slate Quarries in the Lingaun Valley

The Lingaun Valley is the focus of a public meeting of Fáilte Ireland, Lingaun Valley Tourism and Kilkenny Leader Partnership to learn how to maximise the tourism and commercial opportunities of the Lingaun Valley.

The meeting takes place in The Carraig Hotel in Carrick on Suir this (December 7) from 5pm to 7pm with finger food and refreshments served from 4.30pm.

The event is aimed at new and existing businesses, groups and activity providers who work in the areas of crafts, equipment hire, food and beverage, accommodation, transport, community groups or festivals and currently cater for visitors or have an interest in the future development of the area.

The meet and greet, presentation and workshop with consultants Bance Mullarkey, will allow all present to learn about the potential of the Lingaun Valley for the local business and community and will outline inspirational examples of businesses and communities who are capitalising on infrastructural developments in their local areas.

All are welcome to attend this free event.
