Kilkenny was out in force in Miami, Florida, last week, when three delegates from Cartoon Saloon were among the 52 Irish delegates at the Kidscreen Summit.
During the Summit, the new Irish Consul in Miami, Sarah Kavanagh who is also from Kilkenny, partnered with Enterprise Ireland and Animation Ireland, with support from RTE, Screen Ireland and Northern Ireland Screen, to host a networking reception.
The Kidscreen Summit is one of the premier events in the global animation industry calendar.
Cartoon Saloon’s delegation, along with the other Irish companies, attend with a view to pitching ideas and securing deals with top media companies.
Studios enjoy face-to-face time with major industry leaders, discover new talent and build relationships with potential media partners during the week-long event.
Among the global players attending the Kidscreen Summit were Netflix, Amazon, Disney, Nickelodeon, Sony and Warner Brothers.
The event hosted by the Irish Consulate attracted a large turnout, including several of the leading figures in global film and television production.
