Irish rock band set to reunite in Kilkenny this weekend

The band have previously shared stages with Foo Fighters and Bruce Springsteen

Popular Kilkenny venue to host Irish rock band in first live shows since 2018

Cleere's Bar and Theatre on Parliament Street

Irish rock band The Minutes are back on stage this weekend (Friday, August 29 and Saturday, August 30) with two intimate shows in Cleere’s Bar and Theatre.

Over the years, The Minutes have toured with The Hives and Flogging Molly, and shared stages with Foo Fighters, Bruce Springsteen, and Queens of the Stone Age to name but a few.

This will be the first time since 2018 that the band has performed live. They will be performing their debut album, Marcata, in its entirety on the night.

"These gigs will feel more like a reunion than a run of the mill live show," says band member Tom Cosgrave. "The back room in Cleere’s has always been special to us. It feels even more like home now that one of us is a recent Kilkenny blow-in."

While Saturday's show is already sold out, there are still a handful of tickets left for Friday's show. Tickets can be bought at https://cleeres.com/events-guide/the-minutes-friday/
