Kilkenny's Anne Fleck-Byrne appointed to prestigious Board

She joins the Board of The Irish Writers Centre, Ireland’s national resource organisation for writers

Anne Fleck-Byrne previously served on the Board of Drakelands Nursing Home Ltd Kilkenny, Nursing Homes Ireland (National) and Young Irish Film Makers, Kilkenny

Anne Fleck-Byrne has been appointed to the Board of The Irish Writers Centre, Ireland’s national resource organisation for writers, as vice chair and non-executive director.

She is one of seven new Directors to join the Board at a pivotal moment as the IWC accelerates its ambition to expand and deepen its support for writers across Ireland and beyond.

Anne previously served on the Board of Drakelands Nursing Home Ltd Kilkenny, Nursing Homes Ireland (National) and Young Irish Film Makers, Kilkenny.

Founded in 1991, the Irish Writers Centre supports writers of all genres and stages through training, mentoring, residencies, events, and advocacy, and promoting Irish literature.

“It is an honour to join the Board of The Irish Writers Centre at this exciting time. I look forward to supporting its mission to nurture and champion writers across Ireland,” said Anne.
