It’s hard to believe that the Billy Cleere 10th Anniversary gig takes place this weekend.

Billy was part of the great musical family that also gave us his brothers John, who heads up the Rhythm and Roots Festival, and Eamon, who organises Rockfall in aid of Enable Ireland at the O’Neill Centre.

That same venue will benefit from Friday night’s gig, which kicks off at 10pm in Ryan’s Bar. Taking part are Loudest Whisper and Backdoor Blues, with guests Bobbie Carey, Malcolm Noonan, Michael “Mog” O’Grady, John (G.I.) Brennan and more. Entry costs €5, with all proceeds going to Enable Ireland at O’Neill Centre.
