The concert is scheduled for a well known Kilkenny venue later this month
A Kilkenny band will play its part in a landmark concert later this month, as a very special anniversary is celebrated.
St George’s Brass Band from Dublin are marking their 90th year in 2026, and as part of the festivities, will play alongside Kilkenny’s St Patrick’s Brass and Reed in just over two weeks time.
History and talent will be in no short supply, with the local band seen as equally prestigious in music circles.
The St Patrick’s Brass and Reed Band have been a cornerstone of Kilkenny's cultural heritage since their foundation in 1882.
The concert will take place on Saturday, July 25 in St Patrick’s Church from 7.30pm.
Admission is free.
