Cllr Joe Lyons is inviting local people to attend
An upcoming Fine Gael Agri Rural Forum will 'highlight key rural issues' and 'proactively discuss the concerns and frustrations of farmers'.
That's according to Cllr Joe Lyons who is inviting local people to attend the meeting set to be held in Callan Parish Hall on Thursday, March 30, at 8pm.
The discussion will be chaired by Eddie Downey of the Fine Gael National Agriculture, Food and Rural Development Forum.
Panel contributors will include Minister Martin Heydon TD, Seán Kelly MEP, Senator Tim Lombard, Callan Co-op Manager James Fitzgerald and South East Energy Agency's Paddy Phelan.
"The meeting will facilitate an opportunity to discuss the concerns and frustrations of local farmers and highlight the industry's ambitions and opportunities," Cllr Lyons said.
"It will also highlight key rural issues."
