IFA to hold National Horticulture Meeting
IFA will hold a national meeting for horticulture growers next Tuesday, April 25, at 8pm in the CityNorth Hotel, Gormanston, Co Meath.
The meeting will address the major challenges in the horticulture sector with guest speakers from Teagasc, Bord Bia and DAFM.
IFA Fruit and Vegetable Committee Chair Niall McCormack said: “We have lost key growers from our industry in the past two years, it is projected that the area of field vegetables will contract by a minimum of 7% again this year. This downward trajectory cannot continue.”
