Don't miss the Ossory Agricultural Show - Rescheduled to Sunday, 30th July

The Ossory Agricultural Show, originally slated for Sunday, 23rd July, faced unforeseen challenges due to heavy rainfall and health and safety concerns. The event had to be cancelled last weekend but the good news is it has been rescheduled to next Sunday!

The safety and well-being of attendees, participants, and exhibitors have always been top priority for organisers, and as a result, the decision to postpone the event was made in the best interest of everyone involved.

However, organisers are pleased to announce that the Ossory Agricultural Show will now take place on Sunday, 30th July, at the Ossory Showgrounds in Coolfin, Rathdowney. Despite the unexpected circumstances, organisers are looking forward to hosting the show and once again providing a unique agricultural experience for all the valued visitors, showcasing the very best in agriculture, livestock, competitions and family-friendly entertainment.

Please note that the Ossory Truck Show, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday, 23rd July, went ahead as planned, although not open to the public, adhering to strict safety protocols.

The event successfully hosted passionate truck enthusiasts, as most of the trucks had already arrived before the weather conditions necessitated the postponement of the Agricultural Show. To the Highwaymen Ireland, the truckers, and all others who braved the weather and battled valiantly to ensure the event went ahead in some capacity, the organising committee extend their sincerest gratitude and true admiration. 

The rescheduled Ossory Agricultural Show on Sunday, 30th July, promises to be a great event, with the same array of exciting attractions, competitions, and activities that visitors have come to love over the years.

Attendees can still look forward to an extensive variety of classes, including Cattle, Sheep, Horses, Poultry, Dogs, Flowers, Vegetables, Baking, Crafts, Produce, Photography, and more! Additionally, the Hunt Chase, Charm & Style Competitions, Vintage Car & Tractor Show, Tug of War Competition, Vintage Threshing, Vintage Corn Cutting, trade stands, kids' amusements, live music, food vendors, and other entertainment will all be part of this remarkable day.
