Kilkenny visit from SAI Platform Dairy Working Group
Tirlán and local farms were on the itinerary
Tirlán co-hosted the Sustainable Agriculture Initiative Platform (SAI Platform) Dairy Working Group in Kilkenny on the 23-26 April.
The international group of dairy buyers and processors from all over the world including New Zealand, California and Switzerland came together over four days to discuss SAI Platform’s strategy for 2025 and beyond.
The event kicked-off with a welcome to the 60+ participants in Tirlán’s Collaboration Hub in Abbey Quarter. The group stayed in hotels locally and were treated the best of Kilkenny cuisine and culture throughout the week.
There were also farm visits hosted by Tirlán suppliers Bryan and Gail Daniels from Kilmoganny, Co. Kilkenny and Eamon and Lois Sheehan from Cuffesgrange, Co. Kilkenny.
The highlight of the week was the Irish Co-op Farmer Showcase in the Parade Tower of Kilkenny Castle. Here Tirlán suppliers Eamon Sheehan with Gillian and Neil O’Sullivan presented alongside farmers from Carbery, Kerry and Lakeland co-ops.
