A successful year for the Kilkenny Ploughing Association was celebrated in Toby’s Bar, Danesfort, last weekend.
Among those honoured were Aoife Hennessy (far left), from Tullogher, who was winner of a silver medal for Macra 2 furrow conventional, at the National Ploughing Championships, and Brian Ireland (left) who was the coach for the Irish team that took part in the 68th World Ploughing Championships in Latvia - and took home two Supreme World Championship titles!
The presentations were made by World Ploughing Champion John Whelan.
The special evening was also enjoyed by many in the organisation and the men and women who made the local Kilkenny ploughing competitions such a great success throughout the year. Competitions took place in Danesfort, Tullogher Glenmore and Mooncoin.
