Mullinahone Co-operative, a leading supplier of animal identification, agricultural supplies, and cheese/ yogurt products, has announced that they have acquired the business and assets of Abbey Rubber Mouldings Ltd based in Portlaw, County Waterford. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Founded in 1893, Mullinahone Co-op is one of the longest established agricultural co-operatives in Ireland and has a long history of serving its diversified customer base.
Martin Ryan, Mullinahone Co-op CEO commented: “the integration of Abbey Rubber Mouldings Ltd, into the Mullinahone business supports our vertical integration approach and provides us with another platform to grow and expand our presence inside and outside the farm gate. We eagerly anticipate collaborating with the experienced team at Abbey Rubber Moulding Ltd to further develop our business.”
Tony Gunn, the Chairman of Mullinahone Co-op said: “the Board and I are delighted with the addition of this new business platform, and it marks a further milestone in our mission to generate and deliver value to our customers and shareholders. We are particularly pleased to that this development follows quickly on our very successful solar electricity generation project.”
