Tirlán will pay a total of 49.08 cent per litre (cpl) (including VAT) for June creamery milk supplies at 3.6% butterfat and 3.3% protein.
The June milk price consists of the following:
Base milk price of 48.58 cpl (including VAT), unchanged from May;
Sustainability Action Payment of 0.5 cpl (including VAT) to all qualifying suppliers.
The base price and Sustainability Action Payment will be adjusted to reflect the actual constituents of milk delivered by suppliers.
The actual average price paid by Tirlán for June creamery milk, based on delivered constituents will be 54.35 cpl (including VAT).
Tirlán Chairperson John Murphy said: “Markets are in the seasonally quiet period and prices are generally stable. There is considerable uncertainty around the issue of potential tariffs but we would hope to have greater clarity on this in the coming weeks.
“In recent weeks we have completed the payment of over €3 million for our Dairy Trading Bonus and €7.7 million in Co-op dividends to Members.”
