Callan man Patrick Walton will represent Kilkenny at the 19th annual Mr Personality Festival, organised by Kilkenny County Macra.

The festival will take place on April 10 and 11, when Mr Personality will head to Langton’s Hotel in Kilkenny for the very first time. The festival is sponsored by Kilkenny, Carlow and District Farm Relief Services.

Patrick is 26 years old. He is an active member of Callan Macra and has listed the first time he went to the festival in 2024 as one of his most memorable Macra moments as it showed him what Macra was created for. His hobbies and interests include sports including GAA, golf, rugby and F1, Macra (as it takes up all his free time) and music. He tries to go to as many concerts as he can which has led him to travel around Europe.

Patrick believes he will make a good representative for Kilkenny because Macra has helped him in developing as a person. Five years ago when he joined Macra, he never thought he would end up one day entering a personality competition, standing on stage in front of a crowd and speaking. He would love to use the position as Mr Personality to help promote this side of Macra and try get more people to join.
