Pedigree Breeds
ABP expects approximately 120 bulls and 80 heifers, representing up to 10 pedigree beef breeds from across Ireland, to compete at the 2026 championships.
With a total prize fund of €37,700, the ABP Beef Bulls of the Future Championships now ranks among the largest prize funds for a pedigree beef competition anywhere in Europe.
ABP have been supporting the Iverk Show for over 30 years and in 2013 introduced the first format of what has progressed to become the innovative ABP Bulls of the Future Championships in close partnership with Certified Angus and Irish Hereford Prime.
Through its Demonstration Farm, ABP Ireland has consistently demonstrated the value of superior genetics, delivering improvements in feed efficiency, growth performance and environmental impact, with recent results showing a €300 difference in carcass value between the best and poorest sires of the same age.
