New Farmex Show Expected to Attract a Record Attendance

FARMEX the business of farming is a new a one day conference & trade exhibition on how to increase profitability, sustainability and add long term equity value of the family farm business.

It will take place at the Hub, Kilkenny on Friday October 12 and has already attracted 50 trade exhibitors. These include stands from Britain, France, New Zealand and leading Irish agribusiness firms such as , Alltech Keenan, AXA Insurance, Biocell, Farm TV, FBD, FRS Networks, Glanbia, Herdinsights, Herdwatch and many more.

The Farmex conference includes eight one hour seminars on Agritech, Animal Health/Nutrition, Dairying, Farm Business, Livestock & Tillage.

Each seminar has four top class speakers (10 minutes each) followed by a Q & A session chaired by an Agri VIP.

The major sponsor is Eurogene AI services and LIC Ireland based in Cahir. Larry Burke, Territory Manager for Ireland said that they were delighted to support this new Agri event. Herdinsights, an award winning agribusiness. have also kindly agreed to sponsor this show.

This new show has the support of Animal Health Ireland, Embrace Farm, Farm Contractors of Ireland (FCI), FRS Networks, Glanbia Agribusiness, ICMSA, ICSA, IFAC, IHFA, Teagasc, UCD & Waterford IT.

Over 3,000 attendees are projected for the conference; an intensive marketing and social media campaign has been underway over the last three months.

The organisers are hoping to attract Agribusiness, advisory and educational personnel, family farmers, farm managers and Ag students, farm managers, farm contractors and Agri-Food Science students to attend this event.

Tickets are €20 for adults, €10 for agri-students and €40 for a family (two adults & children). Car parking is free and one can avail of low cost group travel via Bus Eireann at only €15/20 per person return.
