Peugeot held their annual Aftersales Conference recently at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel, Dublin, attended by 80 Parts Managers and Service Managers from across the dealer network in Ireland.
At the conference, Peugeot presented the Total Peugeot Technician of the Year award to Darragh Phelan, Technical Advisor at Morrissey Motors, Kilkenny.
Craig Breen, Peugeot Sport rally ace, made a guest appearance at the conference, which was also attended by Automobiles Peugeot representatives, Iain Rae and Francois-Xavier Delvallee.
Darragh Phelan from Gowran, Co Kilkenny has a wealth of experience in the Irish motor industry and aftersales market and has worked at Morrissey Motors since 2003.
He is a well-known face in GAA circles. He has played in two county finals and he figred alongside the great D.J. Carey for 15 years.
On receiving his award, Darragh said: “I am delighted with the Total Peugeot Technician of the Year award. We strive constantly to ensure our customers receive a second-to-none experience. It is extremely gratifying to win such an accolade.”
Peugeot assess their Technical Advisors each year through Automobiles Peugeot’s online training programme, Evalion, to ensure the highest Peugeot standards are implemented.
During a 12 month period Darragh scored 88.5% in his evaluation programme, consisting of 136 detailed questions across a broad spectrum of technical training areas: diagnostics, petrol engines, diesel engines, gearboxes, multiplexing, service methods, environment, suspensions, steering, brakes, technical assistance and documentation.
Darragh was selected from 44 Peugeot Technical Advisors as this year’s deserved winner of the Peugeot Technician of the Year award.
