Callan's John Locke's take on the Healthy Club project - starting this week!

The John Locke's GAA club will be a participant in this year’s Healthy Clubs project.

Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, January 11, and running until March 1, people will be taking full advantage of the walkway and new lighting in John Locke Park as part of Ireland Lights Up and Irish Life’s Every Step Counts Challenge, an incentive to encourage club and community members to increase their physical activity levels in 2023.

To participate, download lrish Life’s My Life app from the App store or Google play. Register your details on the app and sign up to the Steps challenge. To join your team on My Life Tap Social, tap Join and select John Locke's GAA Club.

There are some great prizes for participating clubs on offer from Irish Life. All steps from everyday will be counted, but the club will be hosting a community walk in John Locke Park every Wednesday evening - arrive at any time and walk for as long or as little as you choose. The more steps the Locke's can log as a club the better, so lace up those walking shoes and enjoy.
