The Fenians county winning team of 1972, 1973 and 1974
The great Fenian hurling team who won the county final for three years in-a-row from 1972 to 1974 were honoured during the recent senior county final in UPMC Nowlan Park.
Members of the team were Dickie Dowling, Billy Fitzpatrick, Martin Fitzpatrick, Shem Delaney, Mick Garrett, PJ Ryan, Billy Watson, Pat Henderson, Paddy Broderick, Frank Holohan, John Moriarty (RIP), Nicky Orr, Pat Murphy (RIP), Pat Delaney (RIP), Tommy O’Connell (RIP), Neddy Dowling, Mick Dowling, Frankie Hawkes, Tom Dermody, Paddy Fitzpatrick (RIP), Gerry Murphy, John Ryan and Frankie Hickey.
The players were later treated to hospitality in Lyrath Hotel.
