Two sets of sisters lined out for Kilkenny City LGFA last weekend in what appears to be a first for the club.

The Kilkenny City LGFA team recorded their second successive win in the local adult Ladies League on Sunday, beating Railyard in St James' Park.

It's been a promising start to the season for the city club with positive results including wins over Dunnamaggin and John Lockes.

Meanwhile, Sunday's victory was a special day for two proud local families as two sets of sisters lined out in the starting 15 in what appears to be a first for the club. 

Sarah, Alison & Emily Smith started the game for Kilkenny City alongside O’Shea sisters, Sophia & Margaret Mary.
