Young Irelands clubman and Kilkenny senior hurler Mikey Carey has told the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast that the Gowran outfit have been 'fairly lucky' in having the majority of players available to them this season but admitted he can understand why players take time away to go travelling.
"We're lucky enough compared to some other clubs," Carey said, adding, "we (all clubs) have to deal with it and sometimes there's a bit more to life than hurling you'd like to see a bit of the world too."
"I got to see a lot of the world for six months and it definitely won't be the last of it, I'll see more of it as the years go on," Carey continued.
