Senior, intermediate and junior county finals along with senior and intermediate relegation finals will have extra-time played if level at full time according to the Kilkenny County Board.
If games are still level after extra-time, then a replay of the game will be played the following weekend. These replays will then finish on the day using extra-time and penalties if required.

Kilkenny supporters have been divided in their reaction to playing games to their conclusion on the day after the Rower Inistioge and Danesfort's draw after normal and extra-time in the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Quarter-Final on Sunday.
The match finished 1-22 apiece with Danesfort winning the resulting penalty shootout 3-0 in Thomastown.
