Lisdowney captain Michael Kenny
Lisdowney captain Michael Kenny has claimed they aren't going up to the senior grade to make up the numbers, believing they can be competitive at the top tier.
The Hanrahan Cup is on it's way back to the club after the North Kilkenny side defeated Young Irelands 2-12 to 0-15 in the Michael Lyng Motors Hyundai Intermediate Hurling Championship Final.
"Last year was a reality check, maybe we thought on semi-final day that we were going to walk through and it was never going to happen that way," Kenny told the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast.
"We didn't do ourselves justice in the semi-final last year," adding, "that kind of fueled us all winter."
"We don't want to go up there and make up the numbers," he continued.
