Piltown's provincial dream ended in heartbreaking fashion on Sunday afternoon in Glenisk O'Connor Park as a determined St Vincent's (Dublin) snatched a late goal at the end of normal time to draw the game and turn the tide in their favour.
The Kilkenny club became Michael Lyng Motors Senior Camogie County Champions for the first time last month, beating reigning County, Leinster and All Ireland Champions Dicksboro.
In a match that took time to spark, Sophie Holden lit a crucial match for the Kilkenny champions on the 20th minute netting the half's only goal, meaning at half-time the South Kilkenny club had a slender 1-2 to 0-4 lead.

Scores were at a premium so the free taking of Ali Maguire would prove critical for St Vincent's keeping them in the contest until the bitter end.
A Maguire penalty six minutes into half illustrated her importance to the Dublin team as they went in search of their fourth provincial title.
St Vincent's were on a crest of a wave and disaster struck for the Piltown girls as an injury time goal from Ava Lambe sent the game to extra-time at 2-6 to 1-9.
A closely fought extra-time swung one way then another put simply put, St Vincent's found their ruthlessness in front of goal when it mattered, outscoring Piltown 0-6 to 0-4 in that period to end the first-time senior county champions' dreams of completing a championship double in 2024.
