Former Shamrocks Ballyhale manager, Pat Hoban has warned Kilkenny teams involved in the Leinster Intermediate and Junior Championships to be weary of the 'banana skins' in their path.
Both St Lachtains and Lisdowney represent Kilkenny in junior and intermediate provincial action this weekend respectively.
The Freshford team take on Avondale of Wicklow in Bray Emmets GAA Club on Sunday at 1.30pm. Meanwhile, Lisdowney will face Borris in Ossory Kilcotton of Laois in Portlaoise today (Saturday) at the same time.
"It can be very, very hard to get a handle on your opposition the lower down the grades because obviously you're relying on somebody to give you some video," Hoban told the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast.
"The weather plays a part, home venues is a big deal at this time of year as well so there's a lot of banana skins."
