Kilkenny senior hurler David Blanchfield has claimed pressure played no part in Bennettsbridge failing to perform in their St Canice's Credit Union SHC Semi-Final loss to O'Loughlin Gaels last October.
Bennettsbridge were crowned All-Ireland Junior and Intermediate club champions in 2015 and 2016 respectively and despite being hotly fancied by many hurling supporters since their return to senior, they have yet to win the biggest prize in Kilkenny club hurling.
"No, I don't think so. We we wouldn't put that sort of pressure on ourselves, we can't control what other people say but we just look forward to the year ahead and be the best team we can be together," Blanchfield told the Kilkenny People Sport Podcast.
"I love playing with everyone out in 'The Bridge," he added.
